The Maine Forest Service and UMaine’s School of Forest Resources have just published the 2010 Directory of Maine’s Primary Wood Processors. This updated list provides detailed information about all mills in the state, including sawmills, pulp and paper mills, biomass facilities, and wood pellet manufacturers.

Reaching out to forest stakeholders

On November 5, 2010, CRSF researchers Jessica Leahy, Spencer Meyer, Patrick Lyons and Mike Quartuch joined foresters and educators from throughout Maine to learn about novel approaches to reaching out to Maine’ family forest landowners. Presentations from the meeting are available.
