CRSF’s Weiskittel and Fraver Rank in Top 2% of Elsevier Scholarship
CRSF’s Dr. Aaron Weiskittel and Dr. Shawn Fraver, along with FOREST-affiliated researchers Dr. Mehdi Tajvidi and Dr. Douglas Gardner (all faculty in UMaine’s School of Forest Resources) have been ranked in the top 2% of scientists worldwide for their scholarship impact by a metric from Elsevier BV. Elsevier BV’s publicly available database of over 100,000 top scientists provides standardized information on citations, h-index (quantitative metric that measures author-level productivity and citation impact), co-authorship adjusted hm-index (fractionalized counting of citations), citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator. The metric data includes measures of scholarship for career-long and single-year impacts. The most recent complete dataset from Elsevier can be accessed here.
