Soucy et al. Publish Findings on Climate Change Risk Perceptions

The state of Maine is particularly sensitive to climatic changes given its high percentage of forested lands and socio-economic dependence on natural resources. Understanding the determinants of climate change risk perceptions among forest resource stakeholders is critical to eliciting broad support for adaptation. In this article just published in Society & Natural Resources, UMaine researchers Alyssa Soucy, Sandra De Urioste-Stone, Parinaz Rahimzadeh-Bojgiran, and Aaron Weiskittel examine the social-psychological drivers of climate change risk perceptions based on a survey of forest stakeholders in Maine.
